Yuri Kochetkov
Yuri Kochetkov was born in 1973 in the Podolsk region of Moscow. He was a newspaper photographer for Mestnye Vesti and Evening Moscow. Kochetkov joined epa in 1995 and has covered the Chechnya wars, the submarine Kursk disaster, the Beslan hostage crisis, the Georgia conflict, and the Kyrgystan revolution. He has also covered the Eurovision Song Contest, Fashion Weeks and Festivals as well as World Cup and Euro Soccer Cups, Formula One, KHL, etc.
Yuri Kochetkov is an experienced photo-videographer for main international political and economic events such as the G-8, Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, massive protests, and elections in various countries. He also covers the launches and landings at Baikonur cosmodrome.
