Tannen Maury

Tannen Maury is Midwest US manager based in Chicago. He joined epa in 2003. Before that worked as a staff photographer for AP and as a contract photographer for Reuters and AFP.

Tannen grew up in Memphis, and worked in a family lumber business and local newspapers. He holds a liberal arts degree from the University of Mississippi. He has covered major news and sports story from conflicts in Central America, the first Gulf War, Somalia, Rwanda, natural disasters, politics and major sports events. He greets each day with optimism as the challenges and opportunities afforded all epa photographers unfold before him.
