Monrovia, Nov 20 (EFE/EPA).- The opposition leader and former vice president of Liberia, Joseph Boakai, won the second round of the presidential elections on Nov. 14 by beating the outgoing president and former world soccer star, George Weah, with 50.64 percent of the votes, the country's electoral authorities confirmed Monday. Weah obtained 49.36 percent of the votes (793,914), according to the president of the National Electoral Commission (NEC) of Liberia, Davidetta Browne Lansanah. (Camera: AHMED JALLANZO).
