Panama City, Apr 28 (EFE).- José Raúl Mulino, a former Security Minister and presidential candidate in Panama, became the top choice in the polls for the May 5 elections on Sunday. This happened unexpectedly because he took the place of former President Ricardo Martinelli, who was disqualified due to a corruption case. Mulino promised to bring back the positive aspects of Martinelli's presidency, even though Martinelli was granted political asylum at the Nicaraguan Embassy in Panama. (Camera: CARLOS LEMOS).
